Heard: Case under the jurisdiction of the Fourth Department if the State Security Service (UGB) of the NKVD [Det hemmelige politi] og the Kazakh Soviet Socialist Republic. Shaparov, Konstantin Ivanovich, born 1886, in Tula, Moscow oblast, Russian, clergyman, archbishop of Alma-Atinsk. Former émigré. Arrested by the OGPU [det hemmelige politi] at the beginning of 1925 for extensive counterrevolutionary activity and administratively exiled from Gomel; arrested at the end of that year and tried under article 58-10 of the Criminal Code, sentenced to three years in a concentration camp.  Arrested in 1927 and tried under article 58-10, sentenced to the Solovki camp for three years. Tried in 1930 under article 58-10 of the Criminal Code, exiled to the northern region for three years. Arrested in 1931 and tried under article 58-10 og the Criminal Code, sentenced to three years in a concentration camp. Organized various anti-Soviet groups in different cities of the Soviet Union.

Charged: In 1925 he was recruited by the intelligence service of one of the capitalist countries and was conveyed to the territory of the USSR for espionage missions. Until 1937 gathered information of an espionage nature on the development of the textile industry in Central Asia and on the state of the kolkhozes.

Arriving in Alma Ata in 1937, organized and headed an anti-Soviet monarchist terrorist organization of clergy and churchgoers. Trained a member of the organization, one Perepechko, to carry out a terrorist act. Trained one Nishgorodov, who was due to be called up that year for military duty, to do espionage work in the ranks of the Red Army. 

Pleaded guilty.

Arrested on the 21 August 1937 and is held under guard in an NKVD prison for people under investigation.

Decreed: Shaparov, Konstantin Ivanovich to be shot.
