About "The Capture" (8:12 min.)
In October 1943, life changes irrevocably for the six children in the film. Although rumours about the plan to arrest Danish Jews also reaches the children’s families, they fail to escape the Nazis. Some of the families try to flee without success; others are reported to the authorities by Danes who sympathize with the Nazis; while still others cannot believe that such a thing could happen in Denmark. At this point, life as they know it is over for Birgit, Bjørn, Jytte, Poul, Rachel and Salle, and some of them are even separated from their mothers, fathers, brothers or sisters.
