About the film

"THERESIENSTADT - Danish Children in Nazi Captivity" is a story of six Jewish children who were deported from Denmark to Theresienstadt during World War 2. It is based on interviews with survivors, and their eye witness accounts are supplemented by archival material and historical footage. It is a film about the Danish prisoners in Theresienstadt and the German occupation of Denmark, about World War 2 and the Holocaust all through the eyes of six children.

The film is produced for educational purposes and made available for teachers and students across Denmark - and abroad. The film is two hours long and is divided into chapters. This makes it flexible for viewing in schools as it allows teachers to focus on certain themes or break the viewing process into parts. It also enables students to easily revisit parts of the film.
